Several Canadian communities (including Lanark County) have been invited to speak at the Planet Youth Canada Ottawa Conference on November 20, 2024. The event will include remarks from Iceland’s Ambassador to Canada Hlynur Guðjónsson and the Governor General of Canada, Her Excellency Mary Simon.

The morning program features an overview of the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Youth Substance Use Prevention Program and a presentation by Prof. Alfgeir Logi Kristjansson. The day includes presentations from Planet Youth partners located in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia; Calgary, Alberta and Lanark County.
